I am a tad (maybe not) bit late but Happy 2017 everyone! May this year be filled with nothing but opportunities and blessings and good grades and fly high income X
So far 2017 has been nothing but kind to me.
I turned 19,
formed new bonds,
and more importantly, reconciled old ones.
Catching up on time, in 2 weeks, I'll no longer be a freshmen. A year in college has passed by so quickly and I'm thankful for pulling through. The past 2 months has been pretty much draining and a bore with the study/work load due to finals and production. Hence Jeremy and I decided to take a day off studying and projects to go out and enjoy whatever Singapore has to offer!
I turned 19,
welcomed a new member of the family,
and more importantly, reconciled old ones.
Chinese New Year also happened and this year it was double the joy with double the amount of family members :) I also learnt how to draw a socially acceptable cat-wing.
Valentines' Day as always, I'm a lucky girl.

Hence Jeremy and I decided to take a day off studying and projects to go out and enjoy whatever Singapore has to offer!
A few days prior I had researched on attractions and cafes that we could've visited during our day off and we ended up going with the idea of visiting "Future World: Where art meets science". It's a highly raved attraction that's been ongoing for awhile, you can click here for more, but we never had time to visit due to conflicting schedules.
We started off the day with brunch at Wang's cafe (no pics because we were too hungry lol) and left for ASM around 1:30 PM. The journey took about 40 minutes or so and we reached around 2:10. There are 6 times slots that you can choose from and we chose the 2:30 one.
If you walk future down, they have an interactive areas such as "Sketch Aquarium" and "Sketch Town"! What you do is pick a drawing from the huge selection and start colouring/drawing in however you want it to be!

The ticketing counter is located at basement 1 and a standard student ticket usually cost $11 but they were having a 25% discount as 2 of the exhibits were under renovations.
The first thing you see upon entering is a huge trippy display of lights (would not recommend for those with sensitive eyes and what not).

What you do next is scan it into the system! It'll then pop up onto the huge screen and it's interactive, meaning you can "feed" the animals or chase them away with a tap to the screen!

The next part of the exhibit has this huge graphic waterfall and it's SUPER pretty that we couldn't stop taking videos/pictures with /of it!
There were also projections all over and they were super gorgeous.

The blocks in the next few pictures can actually be taken out to form a "chair" of some sorts but we didn't manage to get a picture with it as cute kids were playing with them hahaha.
Last but not the least, the main reason why I was so insistent on visiting this exhibition. The Crystal Universe. The one exhibition everyone's in awe over and spends the longest in. The exhibition is made up of hundreds of LED lights that lights up beautifully.
The colour of the "universe" changes every second and it's honestly so beautiful that you can spend damn long staring at it.

We spent about 10 to 15 minutes in that exhibit alone as it's SUPER and ALWAYS crowded so it was hard for us to find a good and empty spot to take pictures. We also had to find someone who'll help us take pictures so maybe a good tip for y'all planning to go is to go on a double date? ;) In total we spent about 1.5 hours there! :) 10/10 I would totally visit again!
Afterwards we took a train down to Bras Basah to head to the National Museum of Singapore (you can click here for more)! It's about a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the MRT depending on how fast/slow you walk. We made a pit stop to SAM (Singapore Art Museum), which is just beside Bras Basah MRT, to check out the photo-booth! The machine totally upgraded since the last time we went, it now allows you to re-take your pictures if you're not happy with how it turns out! It still costs $4 for 2 strips but it's totally worth it. The machine is also located behind the building, just follow the signs on the floor saying "SAM@8Q" to get to it!

SAM is also a very aesthetically pleasing place to take your OOTDs at! The interiors has a good combination of a modern and antique look. Look at dem raw pictures before editing :")
We spent about 10 minutes tops taking pictures and then made our way down to the National Museum. If you didn't know, the National Museum is actually FOC for Singaporeans and PRs! You'll just have to present a valid form of identification :)

There are various galleries located within the museum so it might take quite a fair share of your time if you're planning to visit! The first exhibit was about the history of Singapore and Jeremy and I spent a good amount of time in it. Although I knew of most of the history due to taking a History Elective, it was still a eye-opener for me as seeing and reading are 2 complete different things. It was also nice to Jeremy so interested and absorbed into the place haha. We didn't take much pictures because it weirdly felt disrespectful if we did? Hahaha oh wells.

Next up we visited a gallery called "Story of the Forest" which is an interactive gallery! Apparently you can download an app and it lets you interact with the exhibit but we didn't know of it until we walked through it hahaha.

Once you reach the end of the round about, you'll be directed into a enclosed dome and this is where it gets cute, THEY HAVE BEANBAGS for you lie on and "watch the stars"!!!
We spent about an hour there and there definitely are more exhibits besides these 2 but we were both getting hungry so we decided to fill up our tummy! But before that, OOTDs once again! c: (Sometimes I start to ask myself if I should be editing them before posting hmm.)
We took a stroll down to The Cathay for 18chefs and waffles!

After dinner we walked about Cathay to digest our food faster because that meal was HEAVY af. And yup, that's pretty much how the entire day went :) I'm supposed to be studying but here I am finishing up one of the longest blog entry ever.
